The President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaiman, has revealed to ESPN Deportes that he plans to sanction Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title. Briedis vs. Dorticos is the final bout of the World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament. Their bout will already have the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) titles at stake.
